J. D. "Jerry" Delaney was a college football coach in the United States.
Coaching career
Colgate
Delaney was the ninth head football coach for the Colgate University Raiders located in the Village of Hamilton in Madison County, New York and he held that position for the 1901 season. His overall coaching record at Colgate was 2 wins, 5 losses, and 0 ties. This ranks him 31st at Colgate in terms of total wins and 30th at Colgate in terms of winning percentage.[1]
St. Bonaventure
Delaney returned to coachin for two more seasons, for 1903 and 1904 at St. Bonaventure University in Allegany, New York. Here he improved his record to 7 wins and 4 losses across the two seasons.[2]
